High Quality and Safety Concious Provision
The safety of all young people visiting the Ultimate Adventure Centre is our main priority. One of the biggest concerns for staff and perhaps more importantly the parents is the quality and safety of the provider. The Ultimate Adventure Centre has a long and proud record of being able to provide outdoor activities that are fun and ultimately safe. The health and safety and safeguarding of all of the young people who visit our centre is paramount, leaving one less thing for you to worry about.
The Ultimate Adventure Centre is an AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) approved provider. This is the mandatory requirement for centres offering adventure activities to young people under the age of 18. Safety Standards, staff training, child safe guarding, risk assessments and operating procedures are some of the regularly inspected elements of our business. To help facilitate your trip we can provide all relevant documentation and can also come to your school to meet the children, staff and parents if required.
Trained and Qualified Staff
The lead instructor at the Ultimate Adventure Centre is Russ Johns. Russ began his career as a teacher in Key Stages 1 and 2 and has always demonstrated a love for the outdoors. His passion for outdoor activities started with the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, Ten Tors and the Scouts and has led him to pursue a career in the outdoors. This dual focus of education and the outdoor environment provides us with a great base to work with Schools and Colleges.
Russ has gained many professional qualifications in his many years in the outdoor industry. He holds the Mountaineering Instructor Award (MIA), RLSS Beach Life Guard, All Terrain Boarding Association (ATBA) Qualified Instructor and he personally signs off the on site training for all members of staff. Our staff hold the relevant industry recognised qualifications for their activities including RNLI Beach Lifegaurd, MIA, BCU, ATBA. All of our staff across the site have current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificates, and are all trained in our Child Safeguarding Policies.
