Residentials for all Key Stages
At the Ultimate Adventure Centre, our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience that students can treasure indefinitely. Our engaging activities expose individuals to essential interpersonal skills that they may become reliant on throughout their lives, and even in the work place.
When it comes to inspiring and motivating young individuals, our qualified and highly skilled leaders will ensure endless fun whilst also maintaining a safe and secure environment. We work with you to create a programme which is tailored to the requirements of your school or college and importantly within the budget you need.
The centre is open throughout the year. If you’re looking to book a residential trip in the Autumn, Spring or the first Summer half term we are able to offer discounted packages, to lighten the financial load.
A Great Location in the heart of North Devon
Located near the North Devon coastline we provide a base that allows young people to experience a relaxing and gratifying sense of freedom, whilst also having a chance to create lasting friendships. Our centre is based on the edge of Bideford, with easy access to the Blue Flag beach at Westward Ho!, the South West Coastal Path and Croyde which is recognised by Surfers across the world.
In the heart of our centre, we have the Ultimate Assault course that takes its inspiration from TV’s Total Wipeout. This unique activity can enrich and improve team building, verbal communication, and importantly, mutual respect. Our other activities such as Laser Tag, High Ropes, Climbing Wall, Zip Wire, Jacob’s Ladder, Mountain Boarding, Water Zorbing, Coasteering and Surfing provide a breadth of choice not repeated elsewhere.
It’s not just about the Activities
In addition our outdoor activities, our site also has a wide range of facilities to relax after a long day. Our large Cafe can comfortably seat 80 people and is used for breakfast, lunch and evening meals, we have a selection of meal choices available and can cater for any special dietary needs.
One of the unique aspects of a residential trip to the Ultimate Adventure Centre is our accommodation; the Atlantic Lodges offer unique and innovative bunkbeds that are always a hit with the children. So, after an exhilarating day, you will be able to get some comforting rest, re-energising you and your students for another day of outdoor fun!
In case we haven’t tired you out throughout the day, evening activities can be arranged that focus on team work, leadership skills or just simply a bit of fun! Previous activities have included Team Olympics, Quizzes, our Fire Pit and indoor sessions at our neghbours, the Big Sheep.
Primary School Residential Trips
For many young children a residential trip may well be their first time away from home; something that they’re never going to forget. We will work with the school to develop a programme that takes this into account and matches to your educational and developmental aims.
We have now provided residentials for children throughout their primary education. Our experiences can be tailored towards the age of the children, with lower impact activities on offer for younger age groups such as Low Ropes, Water Zorbing, Climbing Wall and Team Games. For older children in years 4, 5 and 6 we can offer a programme including more physically demanding challenges such as the Ultimate Assault, Awesome 4 Some (High Ropes), Laser Tag and Surfing.
A wide range of schools now use the Ultimate Adventure Centre as part of the transition programme between Key Stage 2 and 3. In these cases we have worked with both the primary and secondary schools to ensure we deliver a programme meeting the needs and expectations of both.Learn More
